Brazen Hussies: Women’s Liberation in Australia is a  feature documentary that will uncover a rich history of the bold women who kick-started the women’s liberation movement in Australia in the late 1960s and 1970s. The Women’s Liberation movement marked a massive political awakening for women all over Australia.  Brazen Hussies will incorporate detailed archival research with in-depth interviews with key women of the time, to re-introduce contemporary audiences to a revolutionary chapter in Australian history and make a call to action for the continuation of feminist work today.

We are currently seeking to raise $20,000 to shoot time-critical interviews. Consider making a tax-deductible donation via the Documentary Australia Foundation.

If you were a part of Women’s Liberation movement in late 60s and 1970s we’d like to hear from you! If you have information about individuals, groups, events, images, footage or memorabilia please check out our Survey.
